A Four Week Arrangement of
THE PERFECT PRAYER BOOK: MY DAILY PSALM BOOK ARRANGED BY FATHER FREY

MY DAILY PSALM BOOK has the Psalms arranged according to the traditional Roman Breviary which takes you through all the Psalms plus a few canticles in one week with eight times of prayer each day.

The chart below breaks up the arrangement into four weeks for those who want to use the book at an easier pace. This chart breaks up each day into three hours: Morning Prayer, Day Prayer and Evening Prayer. If you use these Psalms plus the canticles listed at the bottom plus the Lord's Prayer, you have a very full personal devotion that contains most of the official Divine Office.

You can mark the divisions in the margins of your book. For example, 1MP for Morning Prayer of that day in the first week, 2DP for Day Prayer of that day in the second week, 3EP for Evening Prayer of that day in the third week, etc. The photo on the right is marked 3MP for Morning Prayer on Monday of the third week.

If you want to stay on the same day as others who are praying the Roman Breviary, then go across the columns horizontally at the end of each day. At the end of Evening Prayer, find the location for the next day's Morning Prayer for the same week and leave a bookmark at that spot in the book. For example, after Evening Prayer on the third Sunday (Psalm 118, xi) you will skip to Morning Prayer of the third Monday (Psalm 26, i) which is shown in the photo. At the end of Evening Prayer on Saturday night, proceed to the following week's Sunday Morning Prayer. This let's you pray each day's Psalms on that particular day over the course of four weeks.

If you want to go straight through the book from cover to cover regardless of the day of the week, then go down the columns vertically and pray each day's Psalms over four consecutive days before going to the next day's Psalms.

The traditional eight hours of the Roman Breviary are on the right side for reference.
